Promote Respect
Hening participates in Chesterfield Public Schools' "Promote Respect" program.    Our school counseling department teaches respect lessons in all classrooms at the beginning of each school year. In these lessons, we teach students how to show respect for others and that they deserve to receive respect, as well.  One way that a lack of respect may be shown is through bullying behaviors.    Our school counselors, Ms. Horst and Ms. Copp, also work with the teachers and administrators to educate students about what bullying is, how to prevent bullying, and what to do if a child is bullied or sees someone else bullying.  Any student who feels bullied or sees another student being bullied should report this behavior to an adult so that the situation can be taken care of as soon as possible.
