Language & Literacy
Students will work on becoming better writers by incorporating characteristics good readers look for such as voice, figurative language, and solid mechanics. They will also work toward becoming better readers by implementing strategies they learn in class to comprehend what they read, increase the rate at which they read, and to read with expression.

Math
Students will work on a variety of concepts including developing and recognizing numeric patterns, adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers, and following the order of operations. They will also work extensively with adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying whole numbers and decimals.

Science
Students will dive into the ocean and learn about its topography and how the organisms interact. They will also learn about the earth’s inhabitants and geographical features. Lastly, they will explore the various phenomena on earth to give them a better understanding of the world around them.

Social Studies
Students will travel the world and learn about the geography of the earth’s seven continents and the people, history, and culture associated with these land masses.
