National Bullying Prevention Month

posted Oct 18, 2018, 6:55 PM by Megan Bentley
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and during classroom guidance we have been talking about kindness, respect, empathy and ways to be a good friend. To piggyback several of the lessons shared through classroom guidance this month, Harrowgate Elementary will be participating in Unity Day on October 24th. Unity Day is a way for a school to unite and send a powerful visual message that bullying is never acceptable behavior. Many schools in Chesterfield County and beyond participate in this activity as a way to show solidarity, and take a stand against bullying. If your student has something ORANGE, please encourage him/her to wear it on October 24th to show that at Harrowgate, we stand for kindness, acceptance and inclusion of all students. Thank you for your support!
