"We believe that students who develop and use knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be successful in STEAM disciplines also develop problem-solving skills and abilities necessary to successfully engage in a global society. Our hope is that students will see from experience that science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics are everywhere, every day. We think that it is important for students to think about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics as integrative disciplines in authentic situations. STEAM encourages higher level thinking skills and abilities, by facilitating students’ learning and understanding of difficult concepts through application. We hope that the CCPS STEAM Expo and CCPS STEAMmania will “hook” students into lifetime learning!"

Student teams have competed in Minute-to-Win-It and engineering challenges relating to science, technology, art, math, social studies, health, world languages, and music.

Minute-To-Win-It Challenge winners share their ribbons.

Teams are rewarded for creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, construction, and many other skills!
