First grade students sitting on the rug in the classroom

Greenfield Elementary School First Grade is a close-knit, collaborative community of life-long learners. Our main focus is on adding a positive impact to our world. We carry out our mission by exploring what the Chesterfield County Core Values mean to us as productive, important members of our society, no matter what the setting: independent, small group, the classroom, the school, at home, and in society at large.

We begin to realize that the Core Values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Accountability are qualities that we use to communicate and function in a safer, more enjoyable way.

We also contribute to our world by learning and practicing the conservation of resources by reducing, reusing, and recycling...all year long! We are even in charge of paper recycling for our school.

The first grade year is packed full of new learning adventures in Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies.
