Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a 5th grade reading club where students read as many of the 20 books from the BOB list that they can, and then participate in two ‘game show style’ competitions. In order to make the BOB Team, students must read ten of the 20 BOB books and complete responses for 10 of the books (Summary Sheets, BOBsnaps) by January 31, 2018. Sponsor: Mrs. Lee


Chess Club
Greenfield’s chess club is a chance for students to gather and play chess with friends before school. There is no formal instruction, and all skill levels are welcome. Chess Club meets on the third Friday of each month, from 8:30-9:00 in the cafeteria. 

Talent Show
Each year our music teacher, Ms. Overmyer, and the PTA sponsor two talent shows, the first for grades 4 and 5, and the second one for grades K - 3.

The Virginia Reader's Choice Club
The VRC Club is for 4th grade students only. Students will meet once a month, on Tuesday, during lunch to discuss VRC nominated books. They will help create book trailers of the books which will be published on the library website. They will also vote for their favorite book in the spring. VRC Site Sponsor: Mrs. Lee 

The Writing Club
The Writing Club is open to all 4th and 5th grade students who are interested in creative writing. Students in the club will participate in National Novel Writing Month in November and also help create the new school Literary Magazine. Club meetings will be most Mondays from 8:15am-9:00am in the Library. Sponsor: Mrs. Lee

The Yearbook Club
The Yearbook Club is for 5th grade students only. Prospective members must apply for a position on the yearbook staff. The yearbook staff helps to create and market the yearbook. Sponsor: Mrs. Cook
