The mission of the Gordon Library Media Center is to nurture students in their love of literature and to provide an enriched learning environment that supports the school curriculum and the Virginia Standards of Learning through a varied collection of print, non-print, and electronic media while encouraging patrons to become lifelong learners and effective, independent users of information resources.

5th Grade Battle of the Books

All fifth graders will be invited to join the Battle of the Books reading program. If you decide to participate in BOB you will read books and become a member of a team that will answer questions about the books in a competition.

Gordon Library has EBOOKS!

Download the FREE Mackin Via app to access all of Gordon’s ebooks and audiobooks!

After you download and open the app, it will prompt you to provide the following information:

School: Gordon Elementary (after you type it in, wait a minute for the list of schools to populate and select Gordon, Chesterfield County Public Schools).

Username: Students provide the same 7 digit school ID they use to access their CCPS dashboard.

Password: Students provide their same password they use to access their CCPS dashboard.

If students want to access the ebooks from a computer and not download the app, simply log onto my.ccpsnet.net and click on the Mackin VIA icon. Check out all of our electronic books and resources!
