Hello Gordon Families! I am thrilled to be joining the Patriot team as the new Principal. I am very excited to be working with such a dedicated and hardworking staff to make sure every student is engaged and challenged daily.

After graduating from Longwood University, my educational career began in Henrico County where I served as a second, third and fourth grade teacher for six years. During this time I earned my M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. Next I moved into the role of Resource Teacher for two years before relocating with my family for a brief stint in Northern VA working as a third grade teacher for Alexandria City. Fortunately, we were brought back to Richmond and I returned to Henrico County as an Associate Principal for three years. Most recently I served as the Assistant Principal at Winterpock Elementary in Chesterfield.

I grew up in Midlothian, graduating from Clover Hill! My husband Matt, my 5 year old daughter Madison and my soon-to-be 3 year old son Jackson and I moved back to the Midlothian area last year. As a family we love being outside, going to the beach, reading books and just enjoying time together.

I am looking forward to working with each of you to ensure all of our students are academically, emotionally, and socially supported and encouraged.

Please feel free to email me at natalie_bareat symbolccspnet.net or call me at (804) 378.2410 if I can help with anything.

Natalie S. Bare, Principal

Welcome to another fabulous year at Gordon Elementary School! This is my 26th year in education and Gordon has been my home for the past five. Prior to coming to Gordon, I was the assistant principal at Marguerite Christian Elementary in South Chesterfield for 12 years.

I started my career at C. E. Curtis Elementary in 1990 after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University. I had the privilege of teaching in the classroom I actually completed my student teaching in. I taught 3-5th grade students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities. In 1995, I returned to VCU to complete my Masters in Administration and Supervision. While in grad school, I taught 6th Grade LD/ED and served as the Head Start Director in Hopewell VA before returning to Chesterfield in 2002.

I have two AWESOME children. Ryan who is 25 years old, graduated from UNC- Wilmington in 2015 and recently joined the US Navy to work in Computer Electronics. My youngest, Bethany is 19 years old and graduated from Hermitage High in 2017. Just a few weeks before school started, she had my first grandchild, Malayah. It has been an eventful summer!
I am looking forward to another exciting year with all of our fabulous Patriots as we strive to Build Bright Futures.
