Overview:


The Falling Creek Middle School Chorus is one of the largest music electives offered to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The course is designed to expose middle school students to the fundamentals of a performing ensemble through the art of choral singing. Students will learn music theory and sight singing, proper vocal technique, posture and stage etiquette. In chorus, students are exposed to various genres of music and also explore the elements of music history, culture and appreciation.



Highlights:


  • The chorus has received superior and excellent ratings for District  Assessment and local competitions

  • They have won first place in Mid-Atlantic Festival  and Musicale Competitions for both Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens.

  • The chorus often travels throughout the community to perform for local elementary schools, nursing homes and county-wide events.
