1st Grade We have several fabulous new staff members this year, as well as a few people taking on new positions within the school. Christy Dudley
Former 2nd Grade Teacher, New Administrative Assistant
I am extremely excited to continue serving the Evergreen community as your Administrative Assistant. Over the past 12 years it has been a pleasure working with students and families in the classroom setting, and I will miss this intimate daily interaction. I promise to continue to serve with the same integrity and passion in my new role and look forward to getting to know many more families!
As a lifelong learner, I am currently completing my Educational Leadership degree at the University of Richmond (U of R). I am an original graduate of James Madison University where I earned my Bachelors of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems. Shortly thereafter I earned my Masters of Business Administration from U of R. When deciding to switch careers, I returned to U of R to earn my Certificate in Elementary Instruction. One of the most valuable learning experiences I had while teaching was becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. Needless to say, I love learning and want the students to love their learning as well!
In my free time I stay busy serving and enjoying my family! I have a wonderfully supportive husband Paul and 3 children. We love attending Savannah's soccer games at UNCW, cheering on the Hokies with Michael during football season, and watching Allison cheer for her James River Rapids.
I am looking forward to another fantastic year here with my Evergreen family!
I am excited to join the Evergreen family and to teach Kindergarten
again! I have taught Pre-Kindergarten - 6th grade in SC, MO, FL, and
now VA. Because we lived overseas for a few years (in Costa Rica and
Peru), we enjoy using our Spanish in our home and with friends. My
husband, Frank, our 5 children, and I spend time hanging out together
playing and watching a lot of soccer as all of our family has played and
we love the game! I also love to read, go for long walks, dote on our
silly labradoodle named Shadow, and have a good cup of coffee in the
I love learning and making learning fun
for my students. I'm so thankful to be working at such a great school
and with a wonderful team!
I am a recent graduate of the University of Richmond. Go Spiders! I have the great honor to be returning to Evergreen after spending the past 4 years here as an Instructional Assistant. I am excited to work with the incredible 1st grade team and all those in the Evergreen community!
I am slightly obsessed with all things BBC (Doctor Who, Sherlock) and Disney! When not in the classroom, I am either traveling or planning a trip! A certified trivia addict, my competitive streak always keeps me in multiple football fantasy leagues!
This is my first year at Evergreen and am excited to join the Eagle family. Previously, I taught 3rd grade for three years within Chesterfield County. I went to Chesterfield schools from Kindergarten through High School before studying Elementary Education at Longwood University. Go Lancers!
I met my husband, Frank, in 2009 and we married in May of 2015. With our dog, Madison, and cat, Layla, we recently bought a house in Louisa County. We also just welcomed our first son, Colten, on August 10, 2016! I will be starting the school year on maternity leave to spend time with our little one, but I will return by the end of September to jump into a fantastic first grade year!
I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Evergreen Elementary.
I have been teaching for 15 years. My experience includes various
grade levels, but most of my years have been in second and fourth
grade. I taught at Millwood School for 13 years. I knew from the time
of my childhood I would someday teach. There is nothing greater than
seeing the look on student's faces when they have achieved a goal. I am
passionate about what I do and I love sharing my enthusiasm with the
When I am not in the classroom I am
most likely outside with my family. We love to be outdoors. My two
daughter (ages 16 and 11) keep me very busy between softball, biking,
and baking. We spend a lot of time at Bethany Beach, Delaware, as well
as New York. We also love to spend time visiting the mountains. We
have a loveable cat named "Tilty." and a very spoiled rabbit named,
"Mocha." It is our dream to open our home up this year to a small dog.

I graduated from V.C.U. with my undergraduate degree in History and my Master's Degree in Teaching. Go Rams!!! Although I was born in Texas, I am a proud product of Chesterfield County Schools - K-12. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful children. Spending time at the beach, reading, shopping, sports (especially football), and spending time with family and friends are just a few of my favorite things to do. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade, but this will be my first year teaching 4th grade. I am super excited and am very proud to be a part of the Evergreen family!
I am excited to be coming to Evergreen this year! This will be my 24th year teaching, my 11th year at CCPS, and have taught exceptional education as well as general education. I am a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, GO HOKIES, and Virginia Commonwealth University, GO RAMS! I am a huge football fan! am super excited to be in the Evergreen library this year! I have just
finished my library science endorsement through Old Dominion University.
I have previously taught in both Hampton City and Henrico County
schools. I have lots of experience and have taught first through fourth
grades. I am passionate about reading and getting kids excited about
reading. I have lived in Virginia all of my life. I guess growing up in
Williamsburg fueled my love for history.
am a proud Army Mom. My son, Tim, serves in the US Army and is
stationed in Texas. My other kids are covered in fur: Boaz, my dog
rescued us about four years ago, and his two sisters JillyBoo and
JujuBee (named after characters in one of my favorite kids' books) also
In my spare time, I love to read, go to the movies, spend time with my friends and try new restaurants.
Please come by the library any Monday, Thursday, or Friday and say "Hi"!

I've worked in Chesterfield County Public Schools for almost 15 years. First as a substitute teacher and the last four years in various positions at Providence Elementary. I look forward to working with the students in special education at Evergreen Elementary. When not in school, I can be found on the local tennis courts teaching, playing and relaxing. I have three children and one grandchild. I'm familiar with quite a few people here at Evergreen and I look forward to the new school year.
I received my Bachelors in Nursing from Oklahoma City University and have been a pediatric nurse for 10 years. I am very excited to be the school nurse at Evergreen this year! When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my 3 children - my oldest will be in Kindergarten at Evergreen this year! I am also training to run my second Richmond Half Marathon. I look forward to getting to know the students, parents and staff this year!
I am very excited to be at Evergreen this year. This is my 15th year in
Chesterfield, which includes several years of teaching Orchestra at the
middle school and high school levels. I am looking forward to
sharing my love of music with Evergreen students. When I am not
teaching or playing music (flute and violin), I can be found reading,
adventuring with my Jack Russells, or seeking out the peace and fun of
being in nature.
