Music Clubs


Percussion Ensemble
The Enon Elementary Percussion Ensemble is comprised of fourth and fifth grade students. The children learn to play hand percussion such as conga drums and bongos. We also add accessory percussion when appropriate. The Percussion Ensemble has many performance opportunities both in the school and in the community. The percussion ensemble has performed for PTO meetings, School Assemblies, Barnes -n- Noble Reading Night, Fine Arts Festival, as well as other venues in the community. The ensemble meets one day a week, before school, throughout the second half of the school year. Participants are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Permission slips will be sent home after the winter break.

Orff Ensemble
The Enon Elementary Orff Ensemble is comprised of fourth and fifth grade students. The participants learn to play xylophone style instruments in and ensemble setting. The Orff Ensemble has many performance opportunities both in the school and in the community. The orff ensemble has performed for PTO meetings, School Assemblies, Barnes -n- Noble reading night, Fine Arts Festival, as well as other venues in the community. The ensemble meets one day a week, before school, throughout the second half of the school year. Participants are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Permission slips will be sent home after the winter break.

Elementary Honors Chorus
The Elementary Honors Chorus is an auditioned ensemble. These children will represent Enon in the Chesterfield County Elementary Mass Honors Choir during the Fine Arts Festival in April. We meet one a week during the second half of the school year to prepare music for the concert in April. This group is open to fifth grade students. Auditions will be held near the end of January. An audition piece will be provided.

Recorder Ensemble
Students learn to play recorder as part of their fourth grade music class. As fifth graders, the children can join the Enon Recorder Ensemble. We meet once a week, before school, during the first half of the school year. The group prepares performance level music which we perform both in school and out in the community.The Recorder Ensemble has performed for PTO meetings, School Assemblies, St. Francis Hospital, as well as other venues. The ensemble meets one day a week, before school, throughout the first half of the school year. Participants are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Permission slips will be sent home the second week of the school year.
