Gifted Education

Dear Families of Elementary and Middle School Students,

For the 2018-2019 school year, Chesterfield County Public Schools will utilize a revised gifted identification process to find and identify gifted learners. The attached video provides an overview of the changes in the evaluation process. 
 
In addition to the information available on mychesterfieldschools.com, the Office of Gifted Education and the Office of Family and Community Engagement will provide opportunities for parents wishing to learn more about the revised identification process. Interested parents of elementary and middle school students are invited to attend the gifted identification information sessions that have been scheduled throughout Chesterfield County during September and October. Feel free to join us at 6:00 pm on any of the following dates and locations:

September 17 at 6:00 PM - Monacan HS auditorium and Bird HS auditorium
September 18 at 6:00 PM - James River HS auditorium

Rescheduled events originally planned for September 24:
October 8 at 6:00 PM - Carver MS auditorium [New date and location]
October 8 at 7:30 PM - Matoaca HS auditorium [New date and time]
