Principal Jason Trueblood

Mr. Jason T. Trueblood

Mr. Trueblood is beginning his second year as Principal of Carver. He has been working in Chesterfield County middle schools for 17 years.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from VCU. His family includes his wife, Angie, and two children, Chloe and Henry.  In his spare time Mr. Trueblood enjoys traveling with his family, exploring RVA’s outdoors, and mountain and road biking.

Mrs. Katherine Byers

Mrs. Byers holds a master's in teaching and a bachelor's in English from VCU. She is currently part of the UVA-CCPS cohort working to earn her second master's degree in administration and supervision. Her family includes her husband, Sam, and her daughter, Evelyn. Reading and student success have always been her passion. Mrs. Byers is proud to be joining the Carver team for her 8th year in CCPS! 

Assistant Principal

Nathanial Wiedenhoft

Mr. Nathanial Wiedenhoft

Mr. Wiedenhoft is in his 12th year in public education.  He has been a middle school assistant principal for the past 5 years and previously taught middle school social studies for 7 years.  He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Bowling Green State University. His family includes his wife, Leah, and two daughters,  Adrianna and Felicity. 
Associate Principal

Mrs. Vanita M. Mason

Mrs. Mason is the proud mommy to Kendall and wife to Derek.  She loves to compete, cook, eat, dance, read and sing.  Mrs. Mason believes that everyday is game day and she comes to play! Her  favorite thing to do to unwind is destroying imaginary competitors in Jeopardy every evening.  She is an alumna of THE College of William and Mary and Virginia Commonwealth University, and is entering 8th year in secondary administration.
