Welcome to Curtis PTA!

Mission Statement:

The PTA mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in schools, in the community and before government agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

The Curtis PTA promotes this mission by promoting every child, with one voice by serving the Curtis community of parents, teachers, and students. We, the parents and teachers of Curtis, make a promise to give our children not only the basic educational skills, but to enrich our children to learn about their world through art, writing, drama, music, science and more. In addition, we offer our students the opportunity to have a positive attitude toward different types of programs. We continually look for input from our parents and students to see where we can offer every student an opportunity to find passion in one of these forms of enrichment! Thanks to parents, staff, and community members for their generous contributions and support. The PTA funds essential programs which would otherwise be unavailable to our students. We actively raise funds to support:

The PTA Reflections program
After school enrichment clubs
Educational Assemblies
Family Fun Night and other community events
Support to the Curtis teachers, staff, and administrators

Curtis Elementary prides itself on its parent volunteers. Parent volunteers serve as board members, room parents, art room assistants, library helpers, and more. Parents volunteers organize, implement and supervise numerous school events including the Buddy Field Day, Pansy Day, Hot Dog Dinner, Curtis Community Day, Math Night and Art Museum Night.
