Social Studies

The Social Studies Department teaches World History I, World History II, US History, Government, Religions of the World, Sociology, Practical Law, Historical Research and Medical Law and Ethics.  In addition, we offer AP courses in World History, US History, European History and Government.  John Tyler Dual Enrollment is offered for US History as well.

Our students take the Standards of Learning test for World History I, World History II and US History in May of each school year.  Scores for these tests are mailed to the parents after approximately 3 weeks after the test was taken.

Ancestry
Ancestry.com is available to ALL Cosby Students/Families as of July 1, 2012. You can access it through the library homepage under databases using your home login and password.  Historical Research students should begin exploring the website this summer to get ready for genealogy research in the fall.
