Mr. Benjamin Snyder

Mr. Snyder graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in history and earned his Master's in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He has two daughters, and he enjoys spending time with his family and watching the Hokies in his free time.  Mr. Snyder has been with Chesterfield County Public Schools for 18 years, and this is his 4th year at Cosby.

Mr. Adam Evans
Assistant Principal

A graduate of Clover Hill High School, Mr. Evans earned his B.A. in Sociology from UNC-Charlotte and his M.Ed. from Liberty University.  This is his 13th year in education and his 2nd at Cosby.

Ms. Kathryn Fial
Assistant Principal

Ms. Fial graduated from VCU with a B.S in Psychology and Master's of Teaching in Middle Education (4-8) as well as a Post-Master's Certification in Administration & Supervision.  Prior to joining Cosby in 2009 as an Assistant Principal, Ms. Fial taught middle school Science, Social Studies and Math and spent three years on the Manchester Middle School administrative team.

Ms. Missy Hill
Assistant Principal

Ms. Hill earned her B.A in Secondary English Education and M.A. in English literature from Clemson University. She received a post-graduate certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Richmond and is currently pursuing her EdD in Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before becoming an administrator, Ms. Hill taught English. This is Ms. Hill's 11th year in education and her 2nd year at Cosby.

Mr. Chris Szybisty
Assistant Principal

Mr. Szybisty graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.A. in mathematics and earned his M.Ed from Virginia Commonwealth University in Educational Leadership.  Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. Szybisty taught math.  This is his 11th year in education and 4th at Cosby.

Ms. Amanda Dunbrack
Dean of Students

Ms. Dunbrack earned her B.A. in English from The College of William & Mary and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to becoming an administrator, Ms. Dunbrack taught English. This is her 13th year in education and 1st year at Cosby.

Ms. Merel Williams
School Counseling Coordinator

Mrs. Williams has been a school counselor for almost 25 years, starting her career in Fairfax County before relocating her family to the Richmond area. She received her undergraduate degree in Family Studies from the University of Delaware and a Master's degree in Education and School Counseling from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Williams was selected as Cosby Teacher of the Year in 2011-2012.

Mr. Mickey Swartz
Director of Student Activities

Mr. Swartz earned his B.S. in Social Sciences (Secondary Education) from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.  Prior to becoming the Director of
Student Activities, Mr. Swartz taught Social Studies and coached football and baseball.  This is his 23rd year in education and his 14th at Cosby.

Ms. Mary Estelle Douglas
Coordinator of Special Education

Ms. Douglas graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a B.S. in Education and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with her M. Ed. in Special Education and Administration. She began her public education career in Texas as a self-contained Special Education teacher. She has also taught general education, been a Special Education Coordinator, Educational Diagnostician, and a Special Education Director in Texas for 35 years. Ms. Douglas moved to Virginia in 2018 and served Special Education students at Bailey Bridge Middle School in math and English. She is excited to be a Cosby Titan and to support students as they move toward graduation from high school.
