ATTENTION FRESHMAN PARENTS

Good afternoon FRESHMAN Parents and Guardians,

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 6 PM in the FORUM at Clover Hill High School, our administrators, faculty, and members of our student body will present the ACADEMIES of Clover Hill High School!!!  Your children will be the FIRST to have an opportunity to benefit from this amazing experience to select an area of interest/passion and focus on that area for the remainder of their enrollment at CHHS. 

Please make plans to join us at 6 PM next Tuesday to see the opportunities that your child has on THE HILL!!!  Registration for classes opens on Tuesday and your child will be registering in their current classes for next school year.

Today and tomorrow your children are enjoying our presentation.  Please ask them when they get home today or tomorrow about their PATHWAYS presentation.

Hope to see you next Tuesday in the FORUM.

On Tuesday, January 8th, Clover Hill DECA represented the Cavaliers at the District Leadership Conference.  33 students showcased their marketing knowledge and business acumen in 21 different marketing and business events.  We are thrilled to announce that 11 of those students have qualified to represent Clover Hill and the Region at the State Leadership Conference in Virginia Beach from March 1st to the 3rd.  Those students are as follows:

2019 AP Exam Registration Link - Use this link to register and pay for testing

THURSDAY, JANUARY 10th, 2nd Block: AP Assembly on Registration Procedures in the auditorium. ALL students who are currently taking an AP class must attend. Extra materials will be provided to AP teachers to distribute to students who are absent or attend CTC. The presentation will be available on the CHHS website, as well. Tuesday, April 16th & Wednesday, April 17th: During 2nd and 4th, students will be called down to the forum to complete the pre-registration portions on their answer sheets. There will be four sessions, broken down by alphabet, and every student who registered for an AP exam is required to attend. 

May 6th- May 17th: AP Exams 
If you are interested in the date/time of a specific exam, please see CBoard's website:
We are planning to begin our morning exam sessions at 8:30am (used to be 8am) and afternoon exam sessions at 12:30pm (used to be 12pm) to accommodate CCPS's start time changes for this school year. 


AP Teachers - Please advertise these dates with your students:

January 11th-March 1st: Online AP Registration Window

February 11th-15th: Exam registrations during all lunches for students who wish to pay with cash/check OR for students who qualify for a fee reduction 

Please also remind your students to talk with their case managers ASAP if they believe they qualify for any testing accommodations to make sure the required paperwork has been submitted to CollegeBoard.

Coffee with the CHHS Counselors - 1/9/19 & 1/25/19

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 9 AM in the Clover Hill High School Forum the Clover Hill High School Counseling Department will be hosting a PSAT Interpretation Coffee Lesson for parents of current juniors and sophomores.  The PSAT lesson will decode the score reports that students will be receiving on January 17th and 18th and provide information and guidance on what to do with the PSAT results as it relates to practice and preparation for the SAT.

In addition, there will be a second Coffee with the Counselors Lesson on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 9 AM which will highlight and cover the scheduling information for the 2019-2020 school year.  The information presented will focus on the decision making process, graduation requirements, deadlines, and scheduling timeline for current high school students.

We are very excited to provide parents these opportunities to hear and learn more about the PSAT results and the scheduling process at Clover Hill High School.  We look forward to sharing a cup of coffee with you on the HILL!!!

Last night’s SWIM MEET vs. Matoaca and LC Byrd results as follows: The BOYS team made it very exciting last night! First time this season a high school meet came down to the very last event of the night - 400 Free Relay - to determine the winner. Clover Hill boys were winning going into the relay, but unfortunately could not hold off Matoaca and lost 138 to 143! Boys did defeat LC Bird 180 to 93. 1st place winners include; 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay of Booth, Wakefield, Johnson and Burkey; N. Wakefield (100 Fly and 100 Back); W. Burkey (100 Free and 100 Breast); A. Booth (500 Free); The GIRLS team was victorious over both Matoaca (185 to 83) and LC Bird (220 to 35). The girls dominated by sweeping the 200 Free (K. SteenKamer 1st, S. Atzinger 2nd, and A. Clements 3rd) and the 100 Breast (S. McCallie 1st, Amanda Pendelton 2nd and S. Schorr 3rd). Other 1st place finishes included R. Farquharson (50 Free and 100 Back); S. McCallie (200 IM); and A. Dyer (500 Free). The GIRLS next meet is on Thursday, January 17th, vs the top 5 teams in the county. On Friday, January 18th, both teams will travel to swim against Lee Davis High School. GO CAVS!! (announce 1/16)

Student Pickup After School Hours

Just a reminder that ALL students need to be away from CHHS each day by 6 PM unless they are with a teacher, sponsor, or coach---meaning an adult supervisor.  If a student is found at Clover Hill High School after hours and is not with an adult the student may be subject to a ban from all after-school activities.

Please click HERE for a list of class related fees for the 2018-2019 school year.   Fees will be collected in person during the following times - Tuesday, August 28 - 4-7 PM and Thursday, August 30 from Noon - 3 PM.  These face to face dates are great because our fabulous booster clubs will be represented!  Come out and get your sports passes, Cavalier gear, and more!!!  See how many ways there are to support our Cavalier family!!!
