Last week our 3rd grade students performed Folk Dances. If you have a child or children in 3rd grade, please let them know how proud I was to watch them perform and view their artwork. Thank you to our resource team for putting together such a great performance! Last week, our 4th and 5th grade candidates also delivered their leadership speeches. I was completely blown away as I listened to each and every one of them! I have no doubt that there is a bright future ahead for our CHES students! You can check out the speeches on our Facebook page!

Here's what's happening this week at CHES:
  • Monday (10/30) We will kick off a Dreambox Challenge on Monday. I am challenging each student to complete a total of 30 Dreambox lessons during our 19 day challenge. Each student that meets their goal will be rewarded with a special Dreambox tag for their leadership lanyard. Our goal as a school is to complete 15,000 lessons to earn a school wide pajama day on Nov. 21. The class that completes the most lessons will earn a pizza party on Nov. 21 as well. On Monday, each student will begin using a daily folder for communication between home and school. Thank you PTA for purchasing these bright yellow school-wide folders. Please check them daily for important notes and papers.  5th grade choir and golf meet after school.
  • Tuesday (10/31) Girls on the Run and Art Club meet after school.
  • Wednesday (11/1) Our October CHES Champs will celebrate at our CHES Champ breakfast at 8:45. Invitations were sent home on Friday. Students are invited to wear their high school colors for High School Pride Day.
