We are celebrating Black History Month in February!  Every morning there will be cool facts about famous African-Americans during announcements. On Fridays, students are encouraged to wear African colors or an ensemble that shows African pride.  Every Thursday, there will be people reading books or poetry on Black History to different classrooms. On February 12, the cafeteria will be serving a soul food menu for students.  The month will end with an assembly on February 28 where students will be encouraged to participate in skits, singing, reading poetry, and giving a Civil Rights speech.
