Mr. Rovez Ingram, principal
Rovez Ingram

I am absolutely ecstatic to be serving as the new principal of Marguerite Christian Elementary! Truly, I look forward to meeting and building positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. I am confident the 2018-2019 school year will be amazing and the Marguerite Christian Lions will be feasting on success!
In 2004, I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Afterwards, I took my first teaching position with Richmond Public Schools and I taught fifth, fourth, and second grades. During my ten year tenure with RPS, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Master of Education degree in Special Education, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership. I obtained a grade four teaching position with Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2014, and was promoted to assistant principal the following year. I served as the assistant principal of Matoaca Elementary for three years.
In my leisure, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. Additionally, I love grilling, traveling, and watching the Carolina Panthers during football season!
I’m looking forward to partnering with all members of the Marguerite Christian family to make this an exciting school year! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

Assistant Principal

I am beyond excited to be the Assistant Principal at Marguerite Christian Elementary School!
I have 13 years of experience in education and I am thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic learning community. I've spent 10 years as a classroom teacher in Henrico County Public Schools where I taught 3rd and 4th grades and served in a variety of leadership roles before joining Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2016. While in CCPS I had the privilege to serve as Dean of Students at Salem Church and Marguerite Christian Elementary Schools before becoming Assistant Principal.

I am a three time graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and hold a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology, Master's of Teaching Degree, and Post-Master's in Educational Leadership. I have a passion for instruction and I believe that all students can learn and achieve educational success when meaningful relationships exist within their school community. I could not be more proud to play a part in supporting the wonderful staff, teachers, parents, and students here at MCES!

I am so excited to be joining the Marguerite Christian staff as the Dean of Students. After graduating from Longwood College with a degree in Elementary Education, I began teaching in a private school in Northern Virginia. Over the seven years that I was there, I taught grades Four through Eight and Algebra. My friends finally convinced me to move to the Richmond Area in 2000. I taught grades Five and Three in Henrico County for 6 years before moving to Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2006 after I got married. I started as a Fifth Grade teacher and then moved to the Title I Math Specialist where I got to work with lots of small groups of children each year to help boost their skills and confidence in Mathematics.

I was given many opportunities to lead teachers which helped me to decide that I wanted to work towards a degree in Administration and Supervision. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son. My son and I like to go to the beach and just chill. I also enjoy watching my husband and son compete in triathlons together. One of the reasons I got into                                                                                education is because I strongly believe that every child can succeed when they have the                                                                                        support from caring and loving people all around them. I look forward to working with all of                                                                                the students and parents and helping them to reach their goals.
