Two-Hour Delay on Wednesday, February 20

posted Feb 19, 2019, 2:14 PM by Denise Mitchell

Team Chesterfield,

With local weather forecasts indicating wintry precipitation likely to create icy roads and adverse traveling conditions early Wednesday morning, Chesterfield County Public Schools is adjusting its operating schedule now in order to provide families and staff members time to plan.

Chesterfield County schools and school division offices will start on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, Feb. 20. (Employees who are required to work during closings/delays for facility protection, clean-up and maintenance will receive additional directions for their supervisor.)

A two-hour delay is intended to allow Team Chesterfield staff members additional time to assess road and site conditions in order to make a final determination about Wednesday’s operations. If there is a need to adjust the operating schedule further, we will communicate that prior to 7 a.m.

(Events scheduled for Tuesday night are on as planned.)

On the bright side, the forecast high for Thursday is around 60 degrees ....

Thank you for your continued support of Chesterfield County Public Schools!
