Students receive music instruction one day per week for 45 minutes, and are exposed to different types of music, composers and their contributions, and musical instruments.

All-County Chorus

Beulah Elementary’s All-County Chorus group is made up of a small number of fifth grade students. Students who wish to participate in the All-County Chorus must audition in music class during the first week of January.  Selection to this ensemble will be determined by this audition, as well as input from other 5th grade teachers, resource teachers, and other teachers familiar with the student.

During the audition process, each student will be asked to sing one or two warm-up exercises and a familiar song, such as “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” or "Happy Birthday To You". The purpose of the audition is for the teacher to hear the students’ tone quality, intonation, rhythmic and pitch accuracy, and range. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday mornings from 8:00-8:30am from early February to early April. The Chesterfield All-County Chorus Performance will take place Saturday, at the Chesterfield County Fine Arts Festival, dates TBA.
