Dr. Christina Allen-Roach, Principal

Donald Kyser, Assistant Principal

Dear Beulah Students and Families,

Welcome to Beulah Elementary School, Home of the Beulah Whales!  My name is Dr. Christina Allen-Roach, and I am honored and excited to be the principal of this remarkable school.

I have had the opportunity to develop as an educator and administrator in Chesterfield County Public Schools for the duration of my professional career.  I joined the CCPS team in 1999 as a fifth grade teacher and Title 1 writing specialist at Bensley Elementary School where I taught for eight years.  In 2007, I helped open Elizabeth Scott Elementary School as a fifth grade teacher and taught there for three years before obtaining my first administrative position.  I served as Beulah Elementary School’s assistant principal for the past two years.  Prior to working at Beulah, I was the assistant principal at J.A. Chalkley Elementary School for five years.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies from Radford University and a Master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.  In 2016, I graduated from VCU with my Doctorate of education in leadership.  My husband, Steve, and I will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary and send our daughter, Berkley, to Kindergarten this school year.

At Beulah Elementary, we make all decisions in the best interest of our students. Our students come first!  We are so fortunate to have such smart, creative, and caring students, supportive and involved parents, and an extraordinary staff that delivers the very best instructional program possible to our students. Together we work as a team to ensure the success of each of our students!

This year is going to be extra special for many reasons, including the fact that we are currently building a new replacement school for Beulah Elementary that will open in the 2018-19 school year.  The address of the new school location will be 5441 Beulah Road, which is just a short distance away from the current school building.

I believe open and honest communication is vital to the overall success of our students.  Please let me know if I may ever be of assistance to you. You may call me at (804) 743-3620 or email me at christina_allen@ccpsnet.net.

Your partner in education,

Dr. Christina Allen-Roach

Hello Beulah Students and Families!

I am Don Kyser and I am excited to be your new Assistant Principal. I have been employed with Chesterfield County Public Schools since 1995.  I was a Special Education teacher at Monacan High School and Falling Creek Middle School. I have served as Coordinator of Special Education at Alberta Smith Elementary School as well. I have been an Assistant Principal at O.B. Gates and Greenfield Elementary Schools. I have loved each of these schools. Although they are different, I believe that the guiding principle for all schools is a love of children and a desire to see each child succeed.

I earned my bachelor's degree at Clarion University in Pennsylvania and my master's degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. My wife, Elizabeth, is the School Librarian at Ettrick Elementary School. My oldest daughter, Emily, attends James Madison University and my younger daughter, Meredith, is a sophomore at Monacan High School.

I look forward to a great year at Beulah! Feel free to contact me if I can help in any way. You may call me at 743-3620 or email me at donald_kyser@ccpsnet.net.
