B-Active Program

Skyhawk Nation Movement Challenge to B-Active..

The L. C. Bird Physical Education department and administration is issuing a movement challenge to all students, staff, and community members! We want you to make healthy choices in life and to stay active! The more active a person stays, the more ready the brain and body is to stay alert and learn. Challenge yourself and your friends and family to increase movement time each day. The physical education department will be offering students and staff, additional opportunities to move at school. Hopefully, you will also seek out new options and routine changes that will result in added movement during your day. Click on this B-Active website link on the L. C. Bird Homepage, listed under news, and log your activity! This site also has many different types of other health related information resources and apps, to help guide you in making choices. At the end of each 9 weeks, your activity log will be totaled and rewards could be earned.
Students and Staff can earn a T-shirt that represents the level of achievement that he or she might have earned. The top five community members will also earn a T-shirt and local activity coupons!

Reward Levels:

Bronze Level: represents moving an average of 30 min. a day, 2 to 3 times a week.

Silver Level: represents moving an average of 30 min. a day, 4 to 5 times a week.

Gold Level: represents moving an average of 30 min. a day, 6 to 7 times a week.

The best reward will be a healthier and happier you! Join us in making L. C. Bird High School and our community healthier in 2014.
