Alice Vaughn Scholarship

History: This scholarship was created by the loving family of Alice Vaughn. She was the child of Michael and Tina Vaughn and sister of Chloe and Charlotte. Alice didn’t have the chance to change the world with her presence, so her family decided to create this scholarship to help others succeed and to honor her memory on going.

Criteria: The Alice Vaughn scholarship will be awarded to a student who attended Oakland Elementary during their all of their Elementary Career (K-5th). The Scholarship is a one time award of $1000. The scholarship will be given to a student who will be attending a college, university or technical program. It is available to students graduating from Carroll County High School, Grayson County High School, or Galax High School.  The scholarship will be awarded to a student based on their grades, need, community involvement, extracurricular involvements, awards, and recognitions.
