Have you ever tried using our Online Databases?  These are easy-to-use resources you can access from home with your library card.  We have so many available!  Here are a few:  Family History/Genealogylive tutoring for students, learn a language, legal forms online, magazine search (find full-text articles on a topic from thousands of journals and magazines), and automobile repair.
To access these databases, just click on the "Research & Databases" section of our new website!  Give us a call if you have any questions.
We also have lots of reference books available online (from home)!  Great for history fair and science fair projects too.  Just go to our "Research & Databases" section and look under the category "Encyclopedias & Research."
Here is a photo from our August Paws to Read Program:  We hold this program every other month on the first Saturday at the La Plata Branch.  You can register online or give Leigh a call at 301-934-9001.  We have 3 canine partners (Lilly, Mindy and Thor) who love to listen to kids read.  Pictured here is Thor with his reading buddy, Alexa.
