Whether you're using email or researching on the web, you need to practice safe computing. The following are do's and don'ts to keep in mind. 

  1. Don't click on links or attachments from unknown sources
  2. Create strong passwords (i.e., $cHo@lrulZ)
  3. Don't keep your password laying around
  4. Lock your computer (CTL, ALT, DELETE) when leaving your PC
  5. Don't share your username and password with anyone
  6. Avoid using flash drives as they are prone to viruses
  7. Save your information to the District's network
  8. Don't leave your tablet or laptop unattended (EVER)
  9. Shut your computer down at the end of the day
  10. Don't download programs you're not familiar with
