Trail Work Day in the Irish Hills with City Rangers - Saturday March 9th 

We will be working to repair and maintain various trails in the Irish Hills in San Luis Obispo. 

Meet at Perfumo Canyon Trailhead at 9:00 am.  More information to follow soon.








Trail Work Day at Santa Margarita Lake - Sunday March 3rd 


We will be working to repair and maintain various trails at Santa Margarita Lake. 

Meet at the White Oaks day use center at 8:30am.  Let the entrance kiosk know you are there for trail work for no-cost entry.

Be sure to wear gloves, long sleeves and long pants, and sturdy shoes. Water, snacks and sunscreen may also be needed.  We should finish around noon to 1pm.

Trail Work Day at Montaña de Oro - Saturday February 16th 


We will, once again, be working to repair and maintain various trails in the Montana de Oro State Park. 

Meet at the ranch house above Spooner's Cove at 9am.

In addition to usual maintenance, we have a major build project which finished on at the new Canyon View Trail, but recent rains may require some maintenance. About half of  volunteers will be working on the Canyon View Trail if the soil conditions permit. If you're interested in working on the Canyon View Trail build, feel free to BRING YOUR BIKE if you'd like to ride out to the work site which is about 2 miles up Islay Creek Road.


Be sure to wear gloves, long sleeves and long pants, and sturdy shoes. Water, snacks and sunscreen (optimism) may also be needed.  We should finish around noon to 1pm.

CCCMB Blood Drive - Tuesday February 5th - Details below!

This blood drive is open to CCCMB members and supporters, or any trail user, or anyone!

What:     Be a Hero - Give Blood
When:    Tuesday February 5 - 10 am to 5pm…    Then at 6pm come to Paul Reinhardt’s for tacos - see below.
             Wednesday February 6 - Noon to 7pm (have a slice of pizza from Woodstock’s in the evening.)
              (or donate at another time that week if that’s when you can make it.)

Super Bowl Sunday Trail Work Day - Sunday February 3rd 


It's that time of the year again and CCCMB will be holding our annual Montana de Oro Super Bowl Sunday Trail Work Day this year on February 3rd at 8AM!!

First off, we will be done in time for the big game, so don't worry you might miss it.

In addition to usual maintenance, we have a major build project going on at the new Canyon View Trail. About half of Super Bowl Sunday volunteers will be working on the new trail with the rest focusing on maintenance. If you're interested in working on the Canyon View Trail build, feel free to BRING YOUR BIKE if you'd like to ride up to the work site

Bring your friends, and join us for a morning of glory doing trail work on the West Cuesta Ridge.  Meeting time TBD - to be determined

Montaña de Oro State Park, Saturday - December 8th at 9am

Bring your friends, and join us for a morning of trail work on the trails of Montaña de Oro State Park!


MEET at the Park Headquarters above Spooners Cove at 9am for a quick safety briefing and raffle drawing.  We will work until 12 or 1pm.  


Come join us for the morning to get some work done after all the rain! We have several locations that need attention so the more people that show up, the more areas we can get done.


All volunteers get a chance at winning Trail Worker Rewards for gift cards and prizes from several of our sponsors: Voler ApparelCambria Bicycle OutfitterBike Church Shuttles, and Trinity Cyclery.

Meet at the Quonset Hut by Spooner's Cove Ranch House/Visitor Center at 9 a.m. and we will disperse from there. Wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy footwear, and bring gloves. Tools and guidance will be provided. Again, spread the word!

Fernandez Trail (near Pozo) - Sunday, December 2nd at 9am

Santa Margarita Lake - Sunday, November 11th at 8:30am



15 volunteers had a great day yesterday at Santa Margarita Lake. We made some much needed repairs on Grey Pine trail - if only we can get some rain to set our dirt work.  Lunch was provided by Atascadero Horsemen’s Club and SLOPOST.


MEET inside the park at the White Oak Day Use Site at 8:30am for a quick safety briefing and raffle drawing.  We will work until 12 or 1pm.  Let the ranger

at the park kiosk know you are there for trail work for a no-fee entry.

Montaña de Oro State Park - July 29th - 9am

JOIN US:  Come join us on Saturday (9/29) for a trail Work Day at MdO. We have several locations that need attention so the more people that show up, the more areas we can get done. Tell your friends and BRING them, too! Participants get a shot at winning one of several gift cards.


WHERE:  Meet us near the Spooner's Cove Ranch House / Visitor Center above Spooner’s Cove by 9 a.m. We'll gather near the quonset hut for a quick safety briefing and raffle.

WHEN:  Meet at 9am.  We should be finished around 1pm

BRING:  Since this trail work involves hiking a 1-2 mile stretch of trail, be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.  Wear long pants, gloves, sturdy closed-toed shoes and bring a hat.
