Myrifield Institute for Cognition and the Arts (MICA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to interdisciplinary research in the cognitive sciences and the arts. It is located in the little town of Heath at the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, USA. The institute provides modest accommodations for small groups of artists and cognitive scientists who would like to meet outside of the formal venues of conferences and lectures. It provides opportunities for think-tank events, pre-conference planning, symposia, seminars, and so on, and maintains a small research library of materials in cognitive sciences and the arts. The institute supports Myrifield Press for the purpose of publishing monographs, essay collections, and research results. For more information concerning the institute, its programs, and for enquiries about proposing an event, contact Mark Turner, President (mark.turnerATcaseDOTedu), Donald Freeman (dfreemanAThughesDOTnet), or Margaret Freeman (freemamhATlavcDOTedu).
