The latest login-node or hostname (e.g. hpclogin.case.edu) can be obtained from HPCC Upgrade. For information on Putty/Xming/Cygwin, visit the section "Prerequisite Software" below. For visual intensive jobs, use viz-node (e.g. hpcviz.case.edu) and for intense file transfer, use transfer-node (e.g. hpctransfer.case.edu). Refer to HPC GUI Visual Access and Transferring File @HPCC.
Open a shell and at the prompt, type:
For an example, if hpclogin.case.edu is the login-node, then type: ssh -X email@example.com. Here, "caseID" should be replaced by your CWRU network ID (e.g sxg125). When prompted for a password, give your CWRU network password (SSO) for authentication.
Double click on the PUTTY icon. In putty configuration window, enter the latest login-node under "Host Name (or IP address)". If you are using Xming, expand SSH under connection, click X11 and check the box "Enable X11 forwarding" and click on open button. You will be prompted for login and password.
Now, you should get the prompt as showed below and you are ready to run your jobs now.
Find the software/application/compiler/libraries that you are looking for at "Software Guide" and click on the specific Software link that provides you sample examples to try out.
