The students of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine are pleased to announce Doc Opera 2011: Hogwarts School of Medicine!
Now in its 27th year, Doc Opera is an annual variety show written, directed, and performed entirely by medical students (and a few friends from other health care professions, as well as some brave faculty!). The performance is comprised of skits, musical performances and parodied songs and dances about medical school and the medical community.
In keeping with Case's commitment to give back to the community, the show is a fundraising event where all proceeds go directly to The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland. Due to increasing popularity, attendance in recent years has reached over 1,000 guests per show, enabling us to donate thousands of dollars to the Free Clinic.
DocOpera is a non-profit organization that relies on area businesses to help us defray the costs of production and to contribute to the annual donation we make to the Free Clinic. We are grateful for the donations and support we have received from many diverse businesses in Little Italy, Coventry, Cleveland Heights, Tremont, and Shaker Square.
