CES Assistant Principal - First Grade Admin - Curriculum/Testing

My name is Ryan McKinnon, and I am one of Carrollton Elementary School's Assistant Principals.  I am in my ninth year of serving children in the early childhood education setting.  I began my career as a second-grade teacher. I quickly joined the Black and Gold community at Carrollton City Schools to start my career as a first-grade teacher with CES.

While serving first grade, I was able to move through many different classroom experiences and variances.  All of these important stepping stones led me to have an opportunity to team lead the first-grade team for three years.

Following my experience in first grade, I accepted a role to serve in a greater capacity as the First Grade Principal and Assistant Principal over Curriculum and Testing for CES.  I couldn't be more blessed and excited to be in this position and to have the wonderful opportunity continuing the Gold Standard tradition of Carrollton Elementary.

Alongside being an educator, I am a father to three amazing boys: Greyson, Dawson, and Liam.  I am even luckier to be married to my best friend, Nikki, who is a registered nurse at Tanner Medical.  We have a dog named Maddox who has been with us since the beginning.

While educating children, I was able to continue my college sport of Cheerleading through coaching at Carrollton High School.  Here, I had the opportunity to lead the Carrollton Cheerleading program for three years.
