About the Teacher

Welcome to Mrs. Sewell's science class! The 2016-2017 school year will be my 10th year teaching and 5th year as a part of the Trojan Nation. I am a native of Carrollton and am happy to be teaching in the town I call home. I felt the calling to teach during the summer of 2004 while on a mission trip to China. While there, I taught ESOL classes and fell in love with teaching. My life was forever changed during that summer and I would not be the person I am today without my experience there. I love other cultures and have been blessed to also spend time in Bulgaria, Uganda, England and Ireland. My travels and time spent immersed in other countries has taught me that people are people regardless of where they are from or the language they speak. My husband, Josh and I have been married for nine years and have two daughters, Addison (5) and Ava (5 months). We love spending time as a family. I love teaching and interacting with my students and feel rewarded to do something I truly love each day. I look forward to a great school year.
