About the Teacher

WELCOME! I teach 2nd grade special education resource, and I am beyond excited to begin teaching my sixth year at Carrollton Elementary School! I am originally from Cartersville, GA and moved to Carrollton to attend the University of West Georgia where I received both my bachelor's of science degree and master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am a certified teacher in both Early Childhood Education and in Special Education and I am in the process in receiving my Teacher Leader Endorsement. This is my second year serving as team leader for the Special Education team, as well as being In School Coordinator (ISC) for 2nd grade and 3rd grade.

I am married to a wonderful man, Jake Norton who was born and raised in Carrollton. We have a son named Max who brings us so much joy and happiness to our lives.

This year I will be teaching 2nd grade reading, language arts, and math in a small group resource setting. I am beyond blessed and honored to be able to work in an environment that enacts everyone to W.I.N.

CES is truly the BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!
