About the Teacher

As a person who has bled Gold & Black since entering 1st Grade at Maple Street school in the Fall of 1967, I am excited to be returning to the hallways and classrooms of CHS after so many years.

Since graduating from University of West Georgia with a BA in Mass Communications/Marketing, I have lived and worked around the US, including Augusta, Charlotte, NYC, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and even in the middle of the high canyonland deserts of Moab, Utah.
Training and teaching has always been in my genetics since birth; my dad taught at UWG and my mom was teacher/guidance counselor/curriculum director for the Carrollton City Schools.

I received my Educator Teaching Certification/English Endorsement while teaching at Grand County High School in Moab, to be followed by a Reading Specialist certification.

Ordinary People doing ExtraOrdinary Things!

This new school year will be challenging, rigorous, and intense......with a bit of fun thrown in during the learning process.  Thank you for taking this journey with me....
