I just completed my twentieth year of teaching at Carrollton High School where I currently teach Advanced Placement Macroeconomics, IB History of the Americas, and IB 20th Century World History.  I hold an A.B. in Political Science from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Public and Private Management from Birmingham-Southern College. After working in materials management in both the public and private sectors for approximately eight years, my desire to teach led me to change careers. I received my certification in secondary education with a concentration in U.S. History from West Georgia College in 1995. Among my many hobbies and interests, I am an avid runner. Having run numerous marathons and half-marathons, my dream is to qualify for the Boston Marathon, a lofty goal that I probably won't reach until I am 80.  I am married to Dr. Linda McCormick, a local pediatrician. Our three children, Heather, Caitlin, and Patrick are Carrollton High School alumni.
