About the Teacher

Ken Skinner begins his 19th year at Carrollton High School.  He serves as the Work-based Learning Coordinator and teaches Economics.  Prior to coming to Carrollton, Skinner taught three years at Haralson Co. High School and served four years as the Sports Information Director at the University of West Georgia.

A 1987 graduate of Carrollton High School, Skinner graduated from West Georgia with a degree in Business Management in 1991.  He later earned his M. Ed and Ed. S in Business Education from West Georgia in 1997 and 2003, respectively.  Skinner also holds a certification in Education Leadership.

Skinner is married to the former Kelly Sanford and they have three children: Matt (a 2014 Graduate), Joe (Class of 2017), and Rachel (Class of 2019).  In his free time, Skinner enjoys spending time with his family, the mountains and beach, and compiling statistics for different sporting events.  He serves as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in the Clem Community of Carroll Co.
