About the Teacher

Social Studies is what I've always been interested in.  I was a History major at Wofford College, graduating in 1988.  After receiving my B.A. from Wofford, I attended the University of Georgia School of Law and received my J.D. in 1991. Though I enjoyed practicing law for five years, I decided teaching would be a more fulfilling profession. That realization led me to return to school in 1997, and I received my M.Ed from Piedmont College in 1998.

Since beginning my career in education, I've always worked for Carrollton City Schools. I taught 6th grade Social Studies for 14 years at CJHS before transitioning to my current job at the Performance Learning Center, where I teach History, Government, and Economics classes.
