September 2016

posted Sep 30, 2016, 5:17 PM by Simon Lewis

It’s hard to believe that only a month ago we were welcoming almost 70 new children to our school, with over 50 Junior Infants and their families joining us for our 9th year as a school. We were delighted to see so many new faces joining us and we hope you have many happy years in our school. September has been an incredibly busy month and we have lots of news to share with you already. Last night, we had our annual Parents’ Committee AGM and we said a sad farewell to Rhonda and the rest of the committee after three super years. When one works closely with a group of people, it is hard not to become close and I can honestly say, I have made some wonderful friends. I am looking forward to working with our new committee and congratulations to Kathy and the rest of our new committee on their appointments. For those of you who are new to the school, please note that all our newsletters are sent electronically and they are probably the most important thing we send every month. Each month, the newsletter will update you with the different things that are going on in the school with reminders about events and all sorts of other things. If you want to share anything in our newsletter, please feel free to email it to Siobhán or me, and we’ll be happy to publish it. I hope you have a fantastic year with us and we’d love to see as much of you as possible. Until then, keep happy, safe and learning.
