December Newsletter 2015

Let the Holidays begin…

This might be the first time that teachers are getting their holidays later than most other professions. While most people finished up on Friday, we’re all working on until the 22nd December and we’re making the most of the seasonal cheer. It’s been a great month in school with lots of festive fun. Our school has been performing songs around Carlow Town and we had our wonderful concerts. We also had some fundraising for a school stage and we have just over €2,000 raised so far, which is a great start. There’s loads more news to come in this newsletter so please read on. We’ll be back to school on January 6th so until then, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. If you are celebrating Christmas, I hope it is a lovely time for you and your families. Until 2016, keep happy, safe and learning.

Maths Puzzle of the Month

Here is this month’s puzzle:

What is unique about 8549176320 ?

Last month’s puzzle was:

After the twelve days of Christmas are over, how many presents has my true love sent me altogether according to the song?

1 + 3 + 6 + 10 + 15 + 21 + 28 + 36 + 45 + 55 + 66 + 78 = 364 presents
