Register HERE for CCD

(also Level 2 of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd)

Registration and payment:  DUE September 1st

Dear Families of Our Lord Christ the King,

CCD stands for Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, or more simply Catholic religious education for children.  Through attending CCD classes, children will learn about our Catholic faith as they study Scripture, prayer, Catholic doctrine, and Catholic traditions; and as they prepare for the reception of Sacraments.  CCD Classes begin Monday, September 9th and are held most Mondays September through May.  We encourage all children who do not attend Catholic grade schools to attend weekly CCD classes.

Our CCD classes are deigned to support your efforts to share your faith.

*Family faith activities will periodically occur throughout the year.  Last year we celebrated Reconciliation together, gathered for the Living Rosary, walked the Stations of the Cross together, and took part in a beautiful May Crowning ceremony.

*Large group prayer and craft activities are scheduled periodically enabling students from all grade levels to pray and work together.

*Much effort is being made to supplement class instruction with games, activities, and service projects to inspire a lifelong commitment to the faith.

*Participation in the CCD Program prepares your children for the reception of the Sacraments.  There is a 2 year curriculum for First Reconciliation and First Communion and a 2 year Confirmation Program.
