ASCA National Model
School counseling programs are collaborative efforts benefiting students, parents, teachers, administrators and the overall community. School counseling programs should be an integral part of students' daily educational environment, and school counselors should be partners in student achievement.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Cardinal Counseling program is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program which assists in an enriching learning environment, addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students.  Professional school counselors are student advocates who provide support to maximize each students' potential and academic achievement in partnership with other educators, parents/guardians and the community. 

Counseling Philosophy
The counselors at Cardinal believe:
  • All Students have dignity and worth
  • All Students have the right to participate in counseling programming
  • All Students ethnic, religious, cultural, racial, social differences and special needs are considered in planning and implementing the school counseling programs
  • All students K-12 will have access to a full time, state- certified school counselor

The Cardinal Counseling Program offers to meet the needs of all students through the following three counseling domains:AcademicCareer, and Personal/Social
