Canon ij printer hardware setup - How to unbox the printer?

• 1. Unbox the Canon printer from the package.

  2. Check if all the components mentioned in the specification are present.

  3. Remove the packaging material from the internal parts.

  4. Connect the power cord and cables to the printer.

  5. Press the Power button to power on the printer.

  6. Make sure your device is turned on.

  7. Load the input tray with papers and check if the ink tank is empty.

  8. Connect the printer to an active internet and begin the software installation process.

Download Canon Printer Driver-

• 1. If your computer has not the CD-ROM, then get the setup online from canon ij setup website.

  2. Open your web browser and visit canon.com/ijsetup webpage.

  3. Now click on "setup" and submit the name of the printer model.

     • Or you can click on the FIRST LETTERS, then enter the first two letters. Now, scroll down the screen, then choose your printer model and click on its model name.

  4. Then hit on the SETTING UP for Printer Model Number tab.

  5. Choose the location or region of the purchased printer at www.canon.com/ijsetup.

  6. Check whether the operating system is selected on the SELECT DEVICE page or not.

     • In case if the operating system like windows is not selected, select from the given list.

  7. Click the SETUP button, and it will redirect you to the download page.

  8. Click DOWNLOAD and start the Canon Printer Drivers downloading.

  9. Once the download is completed, double-tap on the downloaded file and start installation.

How to Install Canon Printer Drivers?

• Before proceeding further, connect your system with the same wireless network with which your printer is connected.

• Open the Downloads folder on your system.

• Double-click the downloaded setup file of the Canon Printer Drivers.

• Subsequently, you will get the User Account Control window seeking your permission for the installation. Then, click on the “Yes” tab to permit.

• This will redirect you to the Canon Printer Drivers Installation Wizard.

• The Canon Printer Setup window will provide you with the option to set your preferred language. For this, click on the Language and select the language of your choice.

• Click on the “Next” button.

• On the following window, confirm the “Connection Method”. Hence, select between the “Wireless LAN Connection” and the “USB Connection” method.

• Ensure that your printer is turned on and the printer’s Power Lamp is properly lit and stable.

• Thereafter, click “Ok”.

• If you are already connecting your printer to your network, select it from the list within the “Printers on the network list” window. After that, click on the “Next”.

• Enter the serial number of your printer and click on the “Next” button.

• After that, the “Print Test” window will appear. To run the test, click on the “Execute” button and follow the on-screen prompts. Also, make sure your printer is loaded with papers.

• In the following window, click on the Next tab.

• Just in case, if you want to register your product, click on the Next tab.

• Subsequently, it will take you to the Extended Survey Program. Here, you will get two options. You may either Agree or Disagree with it. As such, select appropriately.

• Click on the “Exit” tab.
