Meet Our Sixth Grade Team

Mrs. Parillo has been teaching in the Candor School District for 20 years.  In those 20 years she has taught Speech/Language, Reading, Life Skills in the High School, and 6th grade for the last 8 years.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from Ithaca College and a Master's Degree from SUNY Cortland.  In her free time she enjoys gardening, cooking, and working out.

Mrs. Weeks has been working in the Candor School District for almost 17 years.  Over those 17 years she has taught Math, English Language Arts (ELA), Science, and has coached the Mathalon Team.  She received her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland/TC3 and her Master's Degree from SUNY Cortland.  She enjoys being outside, arts & crafts, watching movies, and walking in her free time.

Mr. Young has been working in the Candor School District for 8 years as a substitute teacher, long-term substitute in multiple teaching roles, and the 6th grade teacher for the last 3 years.  He has taught Math as the 6th grade teacher and has taught Science, Social Studies, and ELA as part of the long-term substitute positions.  He coached the Modified Baseball team and is currently the Modified Boys Soccer coach. He received a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Cortland and a Master's Degree from Elmira College.  He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching soccer, baseball, and gymnastics, and working out in his free time.

Ms. Preston has been working in the Candor School District as a Special Education teacher for 3 years and had previously worked in the Ithaca School District for 2 years. She received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo and is currently working on her Master's Degree at SUNY Cortland. She loves to read, listen to music, and dance in her free time.
