This is Mrs. Alderman's 23rd year of teaching. She enjoys building relationships with students and seeing them progress throughout the year. Her belief is that all students can be successful and her goal is to work hard to help all children reach their full potential. She is very happily married to the love of her life, Kevin Alderman, and they have been blessed with four amazing children.

Mrs. King- Mrs. King is married with two wonderful daughters and two silly dogs named Bailey and Molly. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia, but has lived in many states from Maine to Florida and Kentucky too! She graduated from the University of Richmond (go Spiders) and, for fun, attended the New York School of Cooking in New York City. After a long sales career, she began teaching at Heritage U.M. This summer, Mr. Smith got married!! His new wife Kellie works with Horizon at Brookville Middle. In the little free time he has, Chris enjoys exercising and watching sports.

Mrs. StanleyMrs. Stanley graduated from Rustburg High School in 2004. She attended Longwood University and graduated with a teaching degree in 2008. She is married and has one amazing son named Camden. She also has two dogs, Zeke and Charlie. She has an older brother and also a twin brother. Mrs. Tinnell graduated from Liberty University in 2008 and has her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education!  She started her teaching career as a long term sub at Rustburg Elementary and then taught 6 years there. She has had the opportunity to teach first grade for one year, fifth grade for four years, and fourth grade for one year.  She is happy to have accepted a job at LRES to be closer to home and her brand new baby daughter, Hadley Grace!  Hadley was just born in May of 2016 and is a miracle from God. Hadley is such a blessing! She has been married to her husband, Jason, for four years. The Tinnell’s are Duke basketball fanatics and look forward to March Madness every year! She has a husky named Niko and two cats named Zoe and Chloe! In her free time, she likes to read, watch sports, dance, and sing!
