Mrs. Alderman- Mrs. Alderman is a graduate of Longwood and Averett University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This is Mrs. Alderman's 25th year of teaching and 22 of the years have been at Leesville Road Elementary School. Her first teaching job was in Lynchburg City Schools where she taught first grade at RS Payne Elementary School.   She enjoys building relationships with students and seeing them progress throughout the year. Her belief is that all students can be successful and her goal is to work hard to help all children reach their full potential. She is very happily married to the love of her life, Kevin Alderman, and they have been blessed with four amazing children.  In her spare time, Mrs. Alderman enjoys camping, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. King- Mrs. King graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology; Lynchburg College's LC Team program; and has an endorsement in teaching Talented and Gifted students through the University of Virginia.  
After twenty years in the business world, Mrs. King began teaching preschool at Heritage United Methodist Preschool and loved being there for four years.  Next, she came to LRES and taught Special Education for three years, and then second grade for three years.  The following eight years, she has taught fourth grade.  She enjoys students' curiosity and excitement about learning!  Challenging independent learning and thinking is the best part of fourth grade, along with having fun.  Mrs. King is blessed to have a loving husband of 25 years, two incredible daughters, three dogs, nine chickens, and three Guinea hens.  Whew! 

Mr. Smith Mr. Smith was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. He wife Kellie is a stay at home mom. He has four children Ciara (14), Brennan (9), Jason (3) and Nico (1). He has one younger brother who lives in Atlanta. Chris went to Holy Cross Regional Catholic School in Lynchburg from 1st to 12th grade.  Then he earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Bridgewater College.  Chris has 13 years teaching experience; 8 years teaching 2nd and 4th grades at Lynchburg City Schools,1 year teaching 5th grade at Leesville Road Elementary, and 4 years teaching 4th grade at Leesville Road.  He has two part time jobs: assistant coach for varsity girls basketball and Liberty High School and pool maintenance for Pool Foolin' in the summer.  In his free time Chris enjoyexercising, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

Mrs. Tinnell Mrs. Tinnell graduated from Liberty University in 2008 and earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  She started her teaching career at Rustburg Elementary and taught there for 6 years.  She taught 1st grade, 5th grade, and 4th grade before coming to Leesville Road Elementary as a 4th grade teacher.  Mrs. Tinnell has a beautiful little girl, Hadley Grace, who was born in May 2016. Sweet Hadley is a miracle from God and such a blessing to Jordan and her husband, Jason. The Tinnell's are Duke basketball fanatics and look forward to March Madness every year. She has a husky named Niko and two cats named Zoe and Chloe. In her free time, she likes to read, watch sports, dance, and sing.  Singing and being a part of the worship team at Blue Ridge Community Church is one of her favorite things. Teaching and developing a life-long love for learning is her passion!
