Lisa Alderson
Mrs. Alderson grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Bloomsburg University and the University of Virginia.  She holds a B.S. in Special Education and a Masters of Education with a Reading Specialist endorsement.  Her teaching experience includes two years at the Central Virginia Training Center and eighteen years as an elementary special education teacher with the Lynchburg City Schools.  This is Mrs. Alderson’s second year as an ESL coach for the Campbell County Schools.  She loves working with children and helping them reach their potential.  Outside of teaching, she loves to spend time with her family, read, garden and bike on the Blackwater Creek Trail.

Shera Jenkins
Ms. Jenkins was born and raised in Lynchburg. As a child, Mrs. Jenkins visited Mexico twice and fell in love with the language and culture there. She studied Spanish all through school and college. She attended Liberty University. After staying at home with her three children until they were all in school, she entered the field of English as a Second Language.  She has been the ESL teacher here at Leesville Road for 13 years and loves meeting children from all over the world! She is fluent in Spanish, has studied the Korean language and self-taught the basics of Tagalog, the language spoken in the Philippines. Her passion is to connect the students she teaches & their families to the English language through experiences and learning. In her spare time, Ms. Jenkins loves to run, bake, and spend time with her children!
