Mrs. Jane Green, Librarian Mrs. Green is in her 13th year as the librarian at AES. She lives in Altavista with her husband, and has two daughters in college. Mrs. Green earned her BA degree in English from Randolph-Macon Woman's College (a very long time ago!), and has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Old Dominion University and a Master's Degree in Library Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Heels!). She has lived in five different cities in Virginia, and has also lived in North Carolina and Florida. She has taught in several types of school settings and libraries over the years, but AES is her favorite! Book of the Month: Everything on a Waffle by Polly Horvath
Primrose Squarp finds comfort in the restaurant that serves everything on the menu on a waffle. The town of Coal Harbour considers her an orphan, but she herself is sure that her parents did not perish in a storm at sea. She is taken in, reluctantly, by her Uncle Jake, and has a special relationship with Miss Bowzer, the owner of the restaurant. Primrose never gives up hope that her parents will return.
