About Me:

Here's a little information about my background and how I ended up in Cambridge as the Middle School Band Teacher-

I grew up in New Richmond, WI and LOVED music for as long as I can remember!!!

In High School I realized that music was a life-long passion and during my Senior year, I took an independent study in band- I even got to direct my own HS band for a piece at a concert- AWESOME!

I attended 1 year of college at UW-Whitewater and then transferred to UW-River Falls where I graduated with my Music Education degree in 2008. I took a part time elementary music teaching position in Edgerton the following year, but really wanted something full time and missed band. I successfully interviewed and was hired to teach at Nikolay Middle School in 2009.

I direct the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Concert Bands as well as the 7th/8th grade Jazz Band. I also teach small-group instrument lessons and General Music as needed. I really enjoy my job here and look forward to each new year!

My wonderful husband, Lou, and I live in Fort Atkinson with our 7 children- Malia, Aria, MaryLou, Louis (aka Buddy), Ryleigh, and twins Michael & Cadence- you might see them at some of our concerts.
