A390 Road Closure Information

A390 Road Closure through Gunnislake CORNWALL 22nd Jan – 9th Feb 2018

The road closure is in 3 stages:

Stage 1 – 22nd – 26th Jan

Newbridge up to traffic lights Chris Vennings Garage

The road will be closed from 930am to 430pm to all vehicles except for emergency vehicle access

Outside these times the road will be open as normal.

A diversion route is in place to get to Tavistock/Callington areas

 Stage 2 – 29th Jan – 2nd Feb

Gunnislake Village up to The Cornish Inn pub

The road will be closed from 930am to 430pm to all vehicles except for emergency vehicle access

Outside these times the road will be open as normal.

A diversion route is in place to get to Tavistock/Callington areas

 Stage 3 – 5th – 9th Feb

Alma Terrace – Gunnislake British Rail Station

The road will be closed from 930am to 430pm to all vehicles except for emergency vehicle access

Outside these times the road will be open as normal.

A diversion route is in place to get to Tavistock/Callington areas

 

It will be possible to access the village centre- ie the car park via the ‘top route’- Station Road, Chapel Street etc. It will NOT be possible to access the A390 through the village FROM the Devon side of the river during the road closures.  The alternative routes from Tavistock are via Horsebridge or the Greystone Bridge (and vice versa when the road is closed).

There will be a pre-bookable dial a ride taxi (not free) * service from the Gunnislake car park to the station to enable non car drivers/car owners to continue to access Plymouth for e.g. hospital appointments. It will be available for the 09.48 train TO Plymouth and the 14.35 train FROM Plymouth
