With the major coast road and motorway within a couple of minutes drive it is also perfect for access to both Gibraltar and Malaga airports. And with its proximity to the sea the closest beaches are within ten minutes walk. There is also an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants from which to choose within a few minutes. 

El Cristo beach is situated in a delightful sheltered cove, ideal for children, with two chiringuitos. Its ideal location means longer hours of sunshine, making it a particular favourite with serious sunbathers. This beach has become increasingly popular in recent years and tends to get quite crowded on summer weekends. The popular Christo Beach only 5 minutes walk from the apartment and has a good atmosphere with music playing at two of the beach bars. The cove and the outer protection wall ensure the sea is warmer than the surrounding waters. It slopes very gently and is very safe for children. There is a lifeguard station and showers.

        How to get there . . . and meeting point

        Before leaving Málaga Airport, please call Erik or Helen on 0034 672 72 51 54 to agree upon meeting point. This way we 
        will also get an indication of your approximate arrival time in Estepona. 

        Route description from the airport: 

        Leaving the airport you go to the right taking the TORREMOLINOS direction and after 1 km again to the right to take the 
        A7 (CN340) towards TORREMOLINOS-CADIZ.

        After 2,5 km one has to pay attention and take a road to the right indicated by BENALMADENA-ALGECIRAS E15 /AP7 (just 
        after a BMW garage), since that is the beginning of the toll way, in Spanish "PEAJE", that takes you all the way to 
        Estepona.

        After another 15,5 km on this road, in Fuengirola, the road forks in two, and there you should keep to the left, 
        indicated by E15/AP7 ESTEPONA-ALGECIRAS. Then, 33 km further on, in Marbella, the same thing happens as in 
        Fuengirola, and you should again keep left for the PEAJE.

        Another 30 km further on you arrive in Estepona and you are now on the ring road around Estepona. Ignore the 
        first Estepona exit. Leave the E15/AP7/A7 (CN340) using exit number 155 and on the roundabout take the “Estepona Centro” 
        direction. On the next roundabout you turn right at the second road (just behind the petrol station), this road (Avenida 
        Puerta del Mar or Avenida del Quinto Centenario, the old name of this street) you follow till the end and you arrive at 
        the roundabout (with a full scale Fishing boat) that gives access to the port of Estepona. 
        This first roundabout is the usual meeting point. Alternatively, at this roundabout take the second (2nd) exit to Calle del Naranjo and than take the 
        second (2nd) turning to the right (Calle Puerto Alto), drive approx 30 meters and park your car, you have now arrived at Portal 9. Call flat 5 on the keypad 
        and we will be there to open for you. 


        Collection of keys:
        Meeting point will be as agreed by phone (0034 672 72 51 54), usually being the roundabout at Estepona port or
        directly at our flat close to the port of Estepona.
